This unique project found us working with an established Media Agency to transform their office space in a Heritage listed building in inner Sydney. The early 20th century sugar refinery had lovely bones, but specific and challenging Heritage conditions to comply with. Our Design solution required a sympathetic engagement with the history of the building, while still delivering a contemporary business space that maximised both form and function.

The Internal space was stripped back and given a fresh new look to enhance the original cast iron windows, steel columns and timber and steel roof trusses. We designed three new boardrooms, a Kitchen and Executive offices with placement to maximise light, keeping the office open and informal whilst maintaining function and an easy of flow through the space. The arrangement and connection of work and break out spaces was a vital element that links the creative and business functions of the Agency. Feedback has been positive; Breathing new life into this historic building is inspiring clients of the agency with confidence and anticipation.
